Symptoms, signs and diagnosis
Symptoms involvement results in brain, heart and kidneys from different levels . Most symptoms of cerebral edema caused by hypertensive encephalopathy related , including fuzzy occult onset of headache , anxiety , consciousness, drowsiness, blurred vision and nausea, and vomiting. If there neuropathy symptoms such as seizures and coma , may be due to cerebral or subarachnoid hemorrhage, and lacunar infarction. This performance with ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke sudden onset of symptoms is usually different focal neuropathy . CT should be performed to rule out these diseases. When physical examination , neurological retinopathy ( bleeding , oozing and often papilledema ) exists. Cardiac enlargement , with evidence of ventricular hypertrophy . Varying degrees of renal insufficiency. Urine tests include proteinuria ( sometimes in the nephrotic range ) and microscopic hematuria . In addition to proliferative glomerulonephritis associated with renal syndrome , but rarely found in red blood cell casts. Hematologic abnormalities ( microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, disseminated intravascular coagulation ) common. Extremely high levels of renin and aldosterone is very typical.
Diagnosis based on the presence of persistent diastolic blood pressure > 120mmHg, nerve retinopathy and other heart and kidney involvement of clinical manifestations.
